Het luidsprekersysteem Electro-Voice EVID-C4.2LP is een complete two-way plafondluidspreker in een zeer laag profiel pakket. Het pakket bestaat uit een sierlijst, rooster, achterbehuizing, 4-inch coaxiale two-way luidspreker en interne lijn-matching transformator. De luidspreker beschikt over een golfgeleide titanium gecoate dome-tweeter. De EVID-C4.2LP-luidspreker maakt gebruik van een 2e orde crossover-netwerk op 2,5 kHz, met een uitgebreide beveiligingscircuit om het netwerk, de woofer en de tweeterdrivers te beschermen tegen overmatige vermogensniveaus. De EVID-C4.2LP maakt gebruik van een transformator die een selectie biedt van 1,88 (alleen 70-V), 3,75, 7,5 of 15 watt geleverd aan het luidsprekersysteem met behulp van 70-V of 100-V lijnen, of 8 ohm-bypass. De selectie gebeurt via een handige schakelaar op de voorste baffle. Het geperforeerde rooster is afgewerkt in halfglanzend wit poeder gecoat emaille. De baffle en sierlijst zijn vervaardigd uit UL 94V-0 beoordeeld ABS. De achterbehuizing is vervaardigd uit verzinkt, zwaar plaatstaal. De lage profielbehuizing maakt het gemakkelijk om te monteren in zeer krappe ruimtes. Een zijdeksel biedt toegang tot een 4-pins aansluitblok dat directe verbinding met de luidspreker mogelijk maakt met 12 gauge draad en doorvoer naar extra luidsprekers biedt. Een tegelbrug is inbegrepen voor veilige ophanging van de EVIDC4.2LP plafondsysteem in een systeemplafond dat minerale wol of andere vezelgebaseerde plafondtegels gebruikt. De EVID-lijn van plafondluidsprekers is ontworpen om samen te werken als een compleet systeem in een breed scala van verschillende plafondconstructies. Ze bieden brede dispersie, hoge efficiëntie, hoge maximale output, eenvoudige installatie en breedbandreproductie van muziek of stemgeluid.
