By extending the USB connection beyond the normal 16 feet distance limitation, the B203-101-PNP provides workstation flexibility. With the use of Cat5/6 cabling, a computer and its USB peripheral can be located up to 164 feet away from each other. And, with transfer rates up to 480 Mbps, performance never suffers. The B203-101-PNP is backward compatible with USB 1.1 technology. For maximum signal strength, use Cat6 solid-conductor UTP cable, such as Tripp Lite’s N202-series. Before using with a touchscreen monitor, confirm that your monitor supports USB 2.0 over Cat5/6 extenders.
With a built-in USB cable, the transmitter unit offers easy connection to your computer for plug-and-play functionality without drivers or software. The remote unit comes with an external power supply that provides 2 amps of power, allowing you to access and power your USB peripheral. The B203-101-PNP is compatible with all major operating systems.
