What do switchable outlet groups allow me to do?
Switchable outlet groups provide greater control, allowing you to reboot hung devices, program sequenced on-and-off and non-critical load shedding of equipment.
How does SmartConnect advance plan differ from SmartConnect standard plan?
All new devices are on-boarded to the Standard plan with remote power monitoring, UPS and power events, automated distribution of firmware to UPSs with one-click remote installation and downloadable asset and renewal reports. Upgrade to Advanced plan any time, to be able to remotely reboot connected IT equipment from the Cloud. Advanced plan is compatible with all SmartConnect devices, and ideal for SMT and other Smart-UPS models with Controllable Outlet Groups. Use the outlet group naming feature to track how your essential and non-essential equipment is plugged in. Use SmartConnect Advanced plan to power-cycle the controllable Outlet group independently from the UPS Main Group, to reboot connected IT equipment without having to go on site.
Does this UPS come with PowerChute Serial Shutdown software?
PowerChute Serial Shutdown is available for download from the apc.com. It is a UPS management software enabling graceful system shutdown in the event of an extended power outage and provides energy management capabilities for desktops, servers, and workstations.
