This on-line double-conversion UPS system maintains perfect output by converting AC input to DC, then reconverting UPS output to fully regulated sine wave AC. Constant on-line operation completely isolates sensitive equipment from every power problem on the AC line. The SmartOnline® SU1500RTXLCDN provides the highest level of power protection and battery backup for education, healthcare, military, government and other mission-critical IT applications where space is limited, but premium power reliability is essential.
Reliable, Expandable Battery Backup Keeps You Operational Through Power Outages
The field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery modules allow you to work through short power failures and give you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Zero transfer time between on-line and battery modes maintains continuous operation of connected equipment without interruption or rebooting. Extra runtime is available by connecting up to four optional extended battery modules (BP48RT, sold separately).

The WEBCARDLXE network interface enables full remote configuration and management, including load shedding, reboots of connected equipment and safe shutdowns. Expandable Battery Backup

Multifunction LCD/LED Control Panel
The convenient LCD/LED control panel provides easy access to detailed UPS settings and information. The illuminated LCD screen displays a variety of helpful data, including input/output voltage, input/output frequency, output load percentage, output load wattage, power status, battery status, battery voltage, battery capacity, estimated backup runtime remaining and power consumption. An LED block diagram supplements the LCD screen by indicating the UPS operating mode and power conditions. The control panel also allows you to change the UPS system's operating mode and other settings. The control panel provides more information and greater control than comparable models, allowing you to diagnose and respond to power problems at the rack before they cause downtime. If you decide to install the UPS system in a tower configuration, you can rotate the LCD to match.
Flexible Management Options
There are several ways to manage this UPS system:
1. Use the multifunction LCD screen and front-panel LEDs for comprehensive local management.
2. Use the USB port with your computer's built-in power management features.
3. Use the USB or serial port with your computer and Tripp Lite's PowerAlert software.
4. Use the pre-installed WEBCARDLXE network card for standalone remote management via SNMP, Web, SSH or telnet.
This UPS system also has two switched outlet banks, allowing you to reboot locked devices remotely or turn off nonessential loads during extended outages to provide additional runtime.

- Economy Mode: This UPS system provides user-selectable economy mode operation to increase efficiency and cut operating costs. In economy mode, the UPS system suspends double conversion and operates with increased efficiency as long as input power quality is satisfactory. If input power quality becomes unsatisfactory, the UPS system immediately resumes double conversion until power quality returns to normal.
- User-Replaceable Battery: This UPS system has a user-replaceable, recyclable battery, allowing it to remain in service instead of going to a landfill.
