Tripp Lite's B072-032-IP2 KVM Switch is the optimal solution for controlling up to 32 computers/servers locally, from across the room, down the street or around the globe on a network or the Internet.This KVM switch can be accessed and controlled remotely, so there's no need to travel to the server room or network closet. A Java-based application allows access via web browser from any secure IP connection; a non-browser client that can bypass browser-related Java Security prompts is available. The B072-032-IP2 uses inexpensive, user-supplied Cat5e/6/6a cabling with Server Interface Units (sold separately) so you can connect computers/servers located up to 100 ft. away from the switch. This switch features dual Ethernet ports and dual power supplies; if one fails, the other takes over, keeping access uninterrupted. Switch easily between the 32 ports using an on-screen display (OSD), hotkey commands or a remote toolbar. Multi-level password protection prohibits unauthorized users from accessing connected computers, and a local user and up to two remote users can each log on and access different ports simultaneously.Two serial ports allow control of serial-manageable devices such as IP PDUs, firewalls and routers; individual ports can be assigned to an IP PDU port to power on/off the server connected to that port. This KVM switch is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems and it supports VGA video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz. Heavy-duty steel housing stands up to frequent use.Virtual Media allows an.iso file to be mounted to a target server and accessed as if it were stored directly on it. Virtual Media data transfer rates up to 12Mbps are supported when using a B078-101-USB2 Server Interface Unit. Other features include RADIUS and LDAP/S authentication, system-sent SNMP messaging and an event log that tracks logins, reboots and network setting changes.Free NetCommander-AXS Management Software is available to access and control all of your Tripp Lite NetCommander IP KVM switches (B070 and B072 series). From a single interface, you can access server ports on any of your KVM switches, power cycle or power on/off outlets of IP PDUs and manage KVM settings. The B072-032-IP2 offers a complete network management solution. This 32-port KVM switch stores neatly in a 1U rack drawer and pulls out when needed. No server-resident software is required, so server performance and reliability are never compromised. Upgradable firmware fine-tunes compatibility with emerging standards.
Simple, Flexible System Control
The B072-032-IP2 is designed to ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. BIOS-level access allows network administrators to solve complex problems efficiently and restore service before downtime affects productivity. Dual serial ports enable connection of serial devices, like PDUs, firewalls and routers, for access over IP. Dual Ethernet ports and power supplies provide redundancy in the event of a crash. Event logs record events that take place on the installation, such as logins, reboots and changes to network settings. The B072-032-IP2 also allows 'system sent' messages to notify you of LAN or power failures.
The B072-032-IP2 supports both PS/2 and USB connections using B078-101-series USB or PS/2 server interface units and inexpensive, readily available Cat5e/6 cabling. Connected computers/servers can be located up to 100 feet from the switch. Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, Windows and Linux operating systems can be accommodated.
Securely Access Servers Anywhere
The B072-032-IP2 provides secure IP remote access to connected computers/servers without requiring additional rack space. IP remote access enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations and equipment reboots to be accomplished from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software. The B072-032-IP2 also allows remote control of connected PDUs. Individual ports on the KVM can be assigned to a port on the PDU, allowing you to Power Cycle or Power ON/OFF connected servers without leaving the KVM session screen. The B072-032-IP2 allows direct connection of up to 32 computers/servers and offers support for one local and up to 2 simultaneous remote sessions. Connected computers/servers can be located up to 100 feet from the KVM using inexpensive Cat5e/6 cabling and a B078-101-USB, B078-101-USB-1 or B078-101-PS2 server interface module.
