Tripp Lite’s N820-10M-OM5 is a 10 m (33 ft.) multimode fiber cable that provides a cost-effective, high-bandwidth solution over extended distances in the 850-950 nm wavelength range. This 40 Gb/100 Gb Duplex Multimode 50/125 OM5 LSZH Fiber Patch Cable is rated for use with 40/100 Gb Ethernet applications up to 300 meters (@ 850 nm).
A Generation of Fiber Cable, with Compatibility for Legacy Installations
With 100 Gb Ethernet becoming more widespread and network traffic ever increasing, a new generation of fiber cables is needed to support the demand for higher bandwidths and greater speeds. For fast, clear signal transmission through your local area network (LAN) or storage area network (SAN), this high-speed, low-cost cable is backward compatible with existing OM3- and OM4-rated installations and will be compatible with short wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) solutions in future networks. The lime-green color of the cable jacket makes the N820-10M-OM5 easy to identify as an OM5-rated cable.
Error-Free Signal Transfer
The N820-02M-OM5 features dual male LC connectors, which are widely compatible and thoroughly tested to meet stringent insertion loss standards. This cable has a low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket, which limits the amount of toxic smoke emitted in case of combustion, making the N820-02M-OM5 perfect for poorly ventilated areas. This laser-optimized multimode fiber (LOMMF) cable is ideal for LANs, SANs and high-speed parallel interconnects for head-ends, central offices and data centers. It’s commonly used with vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and LED laser light sources. Complies with IEEE 802.3ae and TIA LOMMF standards.
