This allows you to connect a legacy RS-232 serial device, such as a modem, router, switch, digital camera, barcode scanner or receipt printer, to the USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your PC, MacBook, Chromebook or Ultrabook. It’s perfect for smaller, independently run retail environments, because it eliminates the cost of updating older devices, saving money on the cost of operation.
