Broad Compatability, Upgradable Remote Management & Control Up to 256 Computers
Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. Connect multiple versions of multiple platforms in any combination, including Windows, Mac, UNIX1, Linux and DOS. The B070-016-19 supports both PS/2 and USB connections using B078-101-Series USB or PS/2 server interface units and inexpensive, readily available Cat5e/6 cabling (Tripp Lite’s N001- and N002-Series for Cat5e cable; N201- and N125-Series for Cat6). Connected computers/servers can be located up to 100 ft. from the switch. The built-in LCD supports video resolutions up to 1366 x 768.
You can upgrade the B070-016-19 for IP access with a Tripp Lite B051-000 IP Remote Unit. Adding the remote unit allows computers/servers to be controlled from any location via LAN, WAN or the Internet. IP remote access enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations, equipment reboots and more to be accomplished from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software.
The B070-016-19 can be expanded to control more computers/servers using any combination of Tripp Lite’s B072-008-1 and B072-016-1 KVM switches. Control up to 256 computers/servers when all 16 ports have a Tripp Lite B072-016-1 cascaded from them. This gives network managers the flexibility to add capacity when it’s needed, accommodating growing data center requirements without disrupting existing equipment.

With two levels of password protection (administrator/user), the B070-016-19 helps prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to connected servers/computers.
The B070-016-19 has a heavy-duty steel housing and ball-bearing slides for long life. It mounts in racks from 27” to 42” deep in only 1U of rack space. The B070-016-19 is designed for one-person installation and comes with mounting hardware. For 2-post rackmounting, use Tripp Lite’s B019-000 2-Post Rackmount Bracket.
The B070-016-19 is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
