Seamless Access and Sharing System
The Vertiv Avocent HMX IP KVM System (5000-6000 series) is a high performance KVM extender that provides access to system computers via a CATx network, allowing users the ability to access and share computing resources. It is ideal for demanding applications that require high resolution and zero latency such as in broadcasting, sports venues, pre- and post-production editing, control rooms and collaborative environments. An IP-based KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) extender, it allows critical computing hardware to be housed remotely from the user workstation in a secure, temperature-controlled environment. It is designed to improve productivity, reduce IT costs and produce better business results. This KVM system provides powerful administrative tools and connection-management control for the network resources without compromising quality.

This KVM system allows access to any target computer from any access point with IP network so there is no distance limitation.
Easy to manage and use
Centralized management from a single console eases administrative and user verification tasks and can be accessed via a web browser. Security is verified via Transport Layer Security (TLS) certification. Hotkey switching allows users to quickly select channels. Video and USB switching is extremely fast to enhance the user experience.

These KVM systems support high quality DVI-D video as well as a comprehensive list of peripheral devices including CD audio, USB mass storage, keyboard, mouse and other devices.
Broadcast and Video Production
These IP KVM systems facilitate the creating and editing high-quality broadcast and professional video productions by providing uncompromised video quality or control. The HMX 5000/6000 KVMs offer one or two video DVI video connections in resolutions of 1920 x 2000 or 2560 x 1600. They can support a variety of single-link and dual-link video resolutions, convert video to analog and scale in single port increments by simply adding a transmitter or receiver.

Ideal for security centers, control rooms, labs, workstation extensions and environments that require high level of redundancy. Centralized management from a single point ensures security with user administration and verification functions. They offer quick access to multiple devices from a single access point, provide fast switching time and include hotkey capabilities.
