The N286-10GLR-SLC functions just like the Cisco SFP-10G-LR transceiver module and is manufactured to meet or exceed Cisco specifications. You can use this transceiver with many Cisco routers and switches and receive the same performance as the SFP-10G-LR.
Hot-Pluggable for Installation without Network Interruption
The N286-10GLR-SLC is fully hot-pluggable, so you can install it without shutting down your 10/100/1000 Mbps network or rebooting your device. Just plug the SFP end of the transceiver into the SFP port on your network switch. The other end has a duplex LC connector to use with singlemode fiber cable.
Premium Features for Superior Performance with Digital Diagnostics Monitoring
The N286-10GLR-SLC transmits across six miles (10 kilometers) of 9/125 singlemode fiber (SMF) cabling. It features a 1310 nm wavelength vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL). The metallic housing protects against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and excessive power dissipation. The N286-10GLR-SLC also supports DDM, so you can monitor optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser bias current and transceiver supply voltage.
