The MTP/MPO connector is almost identical in size to SC connectors, but can accommodate 12 times as many fibers, freeing up circuit card and rack space for other cables. The four duplex LC connectors on the other end have premium-grade ceramic ferrules designed for 10GbE and faster applications. This OM3 cable can support 40GBASE-SR4 and 100GBASE-SR10 in applicable parallel optics networks. It has documented insertion loss and back reflection testing on every connector and attenuation loss that meets or exceeds current standards.
