Les câbles de patch blindés Cat6A permettent une transmission de données de 10 Gigabits sur un câble en cuivre torsadé blindé à 4 conducteurs de calibre 24, permettant des distances de connexion allant jusqu'à 100 mètres. Les systèmes de câblage Cat6 actuels ne prennent en charge que l'Ethernet 10-Gigabit sur des distances limitées. Le projet Cat6A étend les spécifications électriques du Cat6 de 250 MHz à 500 MHz. Il propose également une nouvelle mesure pour la diaphonie alien de puissance sommée jusqu'à 500 MHz. La diaphonie alien est un signal couplé dans une paire perturbée provenant d'un signal dans un câble voisin. Les câbles CAT6A complets sont dotés d'un démarrage intégré sans accroc et de contacts plaqués or 50u, et sont couverts par notre garantie à vie.
