The BP36V27-2US is compatible only with select 36V DC Tripp Lite UPS systems that specify the use of this battery pack. Not only does it provide extended runtime, but it can also be daisy-chained using its rear connector to additional external battery packs for even longer extended-run operation. Heavy-gauge cabling with high-current two-point DC connector is included for simple installation. Optional-use rear-panel battery detection jacks automatically configure host UPS systems supporting this feature for one or more external battery packs.
Versatile Installation Options Allow You to Place the Battery Where Most Needed
The steel housing supports mounting in 2U of space in EIA-standard 19-inch racks using the included 4-post rack-mounting brackets. The BP36V27-2US is also compatible with Tripp Lite's 2-9USTAND for upright tower configuration, 2POSTRMKITWM for 2-post racks or wall installation and UPDHDEARKIT for 2-point front-rail rack installation without rear supports (all accessories sold separately).

Tripp Lite’s BP36V27-2US Rack/Tower External Battery Pack extends battery runtime when used with compatible Tripp Lite rack/tower UPS systems. The BP36V27-2US includes heavy-gauge cabling with a high-current DC connector for safe, simple installation. An included daisy-chain connector allows the addition of multiple compatible 36V external battery packs to the host UPS. The BP36V27-2US comes with mounting accessories that support 2U rackmount installation in 4-post racks. Optional accessories are available for 2-post front-rail mounting, 2-post center-mounting, wall mounting and upright tower installation.
UPS Compatibility
The BP36V27-2US is compatible with the following expandable Tripp Lite UPS systems:
SMART1000RMXL2U, SMART1200XLHG, SMART1500RMXL2UA, SMART1500RMXLN, SMART1500XL, SMX1200XLHG, SMX1500XLRT2U and any other Tripp Lite UPS system that specifies use of this battery pack.
