The B020-U08-19KTAA has a built-in 19" LCD screen that supports video resolutions up to 1280 x 1024. You can switch easily between the 8 ports using on-console push buttons, an on-screen display (OSD) or keyboard hot key commands. Multi-level password security can be set up for an administrator and up to 4 local users to ensure only those with authorization can access the connected computers.
The eight included P778-series combo cable kits support both PS/2 and USB connections, so no adapters are required. A console cable kit can be plugged into the rear of the unit to allow for connection of a Tripp Lite B051-000 IP Remote Access Unit or an external console. A USB port on the front of the keyboard lets you connect an external mouse, and an external USB 1.1 port means you can add a peripheral that can be shared across all connected servers. When not in use, the B020-U08-19KTAA stores neatly in a rack drawer and pulls out when needed. This KVM console is compatible with all major operating systems. Heavy-duty steel housing stands up to frequent use. Complies with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
Simple, Flexible Network Control and Supports Multiple Platforms
Ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. The B020-U08-19KTAA has an advanced on screen display (OSD) with high-resolution VGA video up to 1280 x 1024. It provides a graphical user interface with management tools such as auto-scanning for continuous scanning of multiple computers. Select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons, on-screen display (OSD) or keyboard hotkey commands. Two LEDs per KVM port indicate (1) when a computer is connected to a KVM port and powered on, and (2) when a computer is selected. The B020-U08-19KTAA also has a USB port for connection of an external mouse and second USB port for sharing a USB peripheral, such as a flash drive or card reader, among the connected computers.
The B020-U08-19KTAA supports both PS/2 and USB connections using the 8 included Tripp Lite P778-Series PS/2-USB Combo KVM Cable Kits. Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. Connect multiple versions of multiple platforms in any combination, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, Mac OS, Solaris and more.
Maintain Secure Connections and Remote Management or up to 8 Computers/Servers
The B020-U08-19KTAA offers two levels of password protection (administrator/user) to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to connected computers and servers.
You can upgrade the B020-U08-19KTAA for IP access with a Tripp Lite B051-000 IP Remote Unit. The addition of this IP unit allows connection via LAN, WAN or the Internet for remote management of up to 8 computers or servers. With the B051-000, the B020-U08-19KTAA provides secure IP remote access to connected servers/computers without requiring additional rack space. IP remote access enables system administration, BIOS-level troubleshooting, GUI application installations, equipment reboots and more to be accomplished from any location using a standard Web browser or multi-platform client software. A modem port provides optional out-of-band dial-up access to equipment when the network or Internet connection goes down. The B051-000 also supports USB virtual media access.
