Tripp Lite
RV3012OEM
Tripp Lite's RV3012OEM Inverter/Charger is the quiet alternative to gas generatorswith no fumes, fuel or noise to deal with! It provides equipment with utility- or generator-supplied AC electricity filtered through premium ISOBAR surge protection. This DC-to-AC inverter with automatic line-to-battery transer and integrated charging system serves as an extended run UPS, a standalone power source or an automative inverter suitable for rugged RV applications. Supplies up to 3000 watts of continuous 120V AC power from any 12V DC battery or automotive DC source. OverPower TM inverter output feature temporarily provides up to 150% of the continuous output for 1-60 minutes and DoubleBoost TM inverter output feature delivers up to 200% of the continuous output for up to 10 seconds, providing the extra power needed to cold start heavy-duty tools and motorized equipment. When hardwire AC input is energized, commercial power passes through to connected equipment and the battery set is recharged via 3 stage, selectable 35/140 amp charging system. Includes optional dual-circuit hardwire AC input to enable full charger output from circuit 1 with a 120V 20A input and full AC pass-through from circuit 2 with a second 120V 20A input feed. In UPS mode, the APS system responds to blackouts and voltage fluctuations with a near instantaneous automatic transfer to battery
Heavy-Duty DC-to-AC Power for Recreational Vehicles
Tripp Lite’s RV3012OEM PowerVerter ® Inverter/Charger is the ideal power solution for recreational vehicles and any other mobile applications that require a clean, quiet AC power source. Containing terminal input and hardwire output, the RV3012OEM efficiently converts DC power from a 12V vehicle battery bank into 120V AC power. It provides equipment with utility- or generator-supplied AC electricity filtered through premium Isobar ® surge protection so sensitive electronic equipment is protected against damaging power surges. Unlike portable generators, the RV3012OEM requires no fuel and produces no noise or fumes.
Typical Applications
- Supplying DC-to-AC power for land vehicles, marine crafts and any other vehicular operation that requires UL standard 458
Works as an Inverter, Standalone AC Power Source or UPS
The RV3012OEM features an automatic line-to-battery transfer switch and integrated charging system that allow it to work as a vehicle inverter, standalone AC power source or extended-run UPS. When the RV3012OEM is connected to an AC power source, power is passed through to connected equipment and the battery set is charged via a 3-stage, 35/140-amp selectable charging system with adjustable settings for wet/gel battery types. In the event of a power failure or severe voltage fluctuation, the RV3012OEM responds with a near-instantaneous (16.6 millisecond) automatic transfer to battery power. Any number of user-supplied batteries may be connected to the RV3012OEM to provide unlimited extended battery backup support for critical equipment. A three-position switch enables you to select AUTO mode, CHARGE-ONLY mode or SYSTEM OFF mode.
UL-listed for Mobile Use
Tested to UL standard 458, the RV3012OEM features moisture-resistant construction and a large-transformer design that enables vehicular operation in high-humidity environments, making it ideal for both land vehicles as well as marine craft.
Meets Normal and Peak Power Demands
When operating in inverter mode, the RV3012OEM accommodates peak surge demands by providing up to 200% more output power than its continuous rating of 3000 watts. In OverPower™ mode, the RV3012OEM can deliver 4500 watts for up to an hour, providing ample reserve power to keep tools and equipment running longer. In DoubleBoost™ mode, it can deliver 6000 watts for up to 10 seconds to support power-hungry equipment start-ups and motor cycling requirements.
Overload Protection
To prevent damage to the inverter and connected equipment, the RV3012OEM shuts down automatically if an overload is detected at the AC output connection. The red Load Level Indicator LED will flash to alert you that an overload has occurred. Additional overload protection is provided by a 30-amp AC input circuit breaker, two branch-rated 20-amp AC output circuit breakers and built-in multi-speed cooling fan.
Front Panel LEDs
The RV3012OEM features six front-panel diagnostic LEDs to indicate load level (high, medium and low), battery charge (high, medium and low), shutdown status and system fault status.
Customizable with Optional Features
The RV3012OEM is equipped with an RJ45 port for connection of an optional Remote Control LED/Switch Module (Tripp Lite model APSRM4, sold separately), enabling you to control and monitor the inverter/charger up to 15 meters (50 ft.) away. Other optional features include a battery temperature sensor with 20-foot cable that adjusts the charge level based on battery temperature, an ignition switch control jack that connects the RV3012OEM to the vehicle’s ignition switch and an automatic generator starter jack that allows the user configuration of automatic generator startup when the battery bank falls below a set voltage threshold.
