The P579-015 DisplayPort Extension Cable (M/F) attaches to your current DisplayPort cable to extend it by 15 feet. To ensure a continuous audio/video signal, the latching male end prevents the cable from coming loose or getting accidentally disconnected. This 15-foot cable supports UHD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz, allowing you to stream digital video and audio from a DisplayPort computer to a monitor or television with a DisplayPort input.
Premium foil and braid shielding delivers reliable, error-free signal quality and protection from EMI/RFI interference. Molded nickel-plated connectors with corrosion-resistant gold-plated contacts provide maximum conductivity and minimize data loss. Integral strain relief with ridges on each end gives the cable extra flexibility, reduces stress, and helps the cable and connectors move freely without cracking.

Along with support for 1080p HD video resolution, the P579-006 has a transfer rate up to 10.8 Gbps and supports HDCP (High Definition Content Protection), DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection) and DisplayPort v1.2 (allowing users to daisy-chain multiple monitors). The cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort v1.1a. It also has a smaller footprint than VGA and DVI cables to save space.
Manufactured using top-quality materials, the P579-006 has gold-plated copper contacts for excellent conductivity. It’s double-shielded with foil and braid to provide maximum EMI/RFI protection and superior signal quality. A flexible PVC jacket makes the P579-006 easy to install in tight spaces.
The DisplayPort male connector has a latch that clicks in place when the connection is made; the connection stays secure until you press the latch to release the connector.
