FAQ
Can you adjust the alarm settings or totally disable the alarm?
Yes, battery backups that are connected to computers can have their sensitivity settings adjusted in the PowerChute software; also you can specify what hours you want to disable the alarm, if desired. The alarm 'mode' can be set via the power button.
How long will this product power my system when the power goes out?
The runtime of any battery backup will vary based on the amount of power required by the devices plugged into the battery backup outlets. In the PowerChute Software, you can see 'Estimated Battery Time' based on the power-draw of your connected devices.
What do I do if my battery backup is not providing the expected backup time?
Note that batteries require recharging after extended outages. Batteries can wear faster when put into service without proper recharging or when operated at elevated temperatures. If the battery is near the end of its service life, consider replacing the battery.
Will the USB Ports on this battery backup continue to charge devices when the power goes out?
Yes, as long as there is battery power in the battery backup, the USB Ports will actively power your Smartphone and other USB-charged devices.
