Tripp Lite's U223-007, 7-port USB 2.0 hub is the most versatile and powerful hub on the market. It allows you to connect up to seven USB devices to a single USB port on your computer. This unit meets or exceeds USB 2.0 Specifications for Hi-Speed data transmission rates up to 480Mbps. Perfect for both the mobile and desktop user. While the hub will function perfectly in virtually all cases without needing external power, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter (110/220V ) has been provided for the rare circumstance when connecting a power hungry device. This USB 2.0 device is backwards compatible so that it will function with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Over-current protection safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages.
No External Power Supply Needed
The U223-007 will function with bus power directly from your computer in most applications – no external power supply is necessary. On bus power, this hub supports USB 2.0 with 500mA shared by all ports port. But if you’re connecting an especially power-hungry device, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter is included to supply 2.5A of power shared among the hub ports, up to 500mA per port. Overcurrrent protection safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages.
