DAC-51 Digital-til-Analog Lyddekoder bruger 24-bit audio DSP og 192KHz DAC'er til at konvertere stort set enhver type digital audioindgang til stereoudgang.
Den understøtter ukomprimeret to-kanals PCM samt komprimeret multi-kanals bit-stream audio (Dolby Digital AC-3, Dolby Pro Logic, DTS) og giver to kanaler af analoge udgange både på RCA samt 3,5 mm hovedtelefonstik. Når indgangen er multi-kanal, nedblander enheden (ved hjælp af nedblanding eller fold-down algoritme) de digitale kanaler til 2-kanals stereo for nem tilslutning til underholdningsenheder. Begge TOSLINK optiske og coaxiale digitale SPDIF-indgange er til rådighed (switch vælgbar af brugeren).
